Jeremain Lens is not the most popular man at Sunderland. The Dutchman admitted he wanted his parent club to get relegated, so he had a higher chance of securing an exit from the Stadium of Light.
The Dutchman got his wish and is now wanted on a permanent deal by his current loan side Fenerbahce.
The Dutchman, who the Guardian claim cost the Black Cats a fee in the region of £13 million from Dynamo Kiev, was reunited with his former Sunderland and PSV Eindhoven boss Dick Advocaat in Istanbul and reduced the wage bill at the Stadium of Light.
Sporx recently reported that the Turkish side can sign him for a fee in the region of €15 million (£13 million) in the summer – however the report also made it clear that the Istanbul club do not have that sort of money.

With that in mind, other interested parties have been mentioned, including Dutch champions Feyenoord.
However, as reported by Fanatik, the Rotterdam club’s general manager Martin van Geel admitted that the Sunderland man may be out of their price range:

“One of the names on our transfer list is Lens.
“He is a bit expensive for us, but it would be great if this transfer took place.”
Sunderland will be wanting to cash in on the player this summer as he is in no way wanted at the Stadium of Light. But with both Fenerbahce and Feyenoord seemingly struggling to raise the cash, finding a buyer is growing increasingly difficult.
