Premier League outfit Everton farmed Cuco Martina out to Feyenoord in January, the defender having spent the last few months at Stoke City.

Cuco Martina made his first appearance in the Eredivisie since 2015 on Saturday. And it’s fair to say he enjoyed it.
The Curacao international has joined Feyenoord on loan until the end of the season from Everton, cutting short his spell at Stoke City to seal a dream return to the club he played for at youth level until the age of 17.
And Martina’s belated Feyenoord debut was certainly one to remember. He shone as Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s side battered De Graafschap 4-0 at De Kuip.
He even lined up in an unfamiliar centre-half role, despite spending much of his career in the Premier League on the right or left of a back four.
“Cuco did well,” Van Bronckhorst told Feyenoord’s official website after the game. ‘It’s good to get a clean sheet again; we haven’t managed that for a while. All told, we can feel good about this evening.”

Martina has a contract at Everton until 2020 but it would perhaps be a surprise if he ever pulled on the famous blue shirt again.
And it seems that the versatile 29-year-old, who joined The Toffees from Southampton, would jump at the chance to stay at Feyenoord beyond his loan spell at the 2017 Eredivisie champions.
