Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Spurs lost 2-0 to Premier League rivals Liverpool in the final of the Champions League at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on Saturday evening.
Mohamed Salah put the Reds in the lead as early as the second minute when he scored from the penalty spot, and Divock Origi doubled the advantage in the 87th minute
Llorente has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat, and the Spanish striker has thanked the Tottenham fans for their support throughout the season.
Leaving Tottenham Hotspur
Llorente is out of contract at Tottenham this summer, and with no new deal in place, it does seem that the Spanish striker is leaving the Premier League club.
According to The Daily Mail, Spurs have missed the deadline to take up the option of extending Llorente’s contract by 12 months.
The report has claimed of interest in the 34-year-old striker from AC Milan, Roma, Valencia and Marseille.
