Newly-signed Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente has spoken highly of Harry Kane on the club’s official website.

Llorente joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Swansea City on transfer deadline day.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs had to pay the Swans a transfer fee of £12.1 million in order to secure the services of the 32-year-old striker.

Llorente will have to fight with star striker Kane for a place in the Tottenham starting line this season.

The England international is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has been in stunning form for the past three seasons.

The 24-year-old has won the Premier League Golden Boot for the past two seasons, and many will back him to make it a hat-trick this campaign.

Llorente has praised Kane and has said that he is looking forward to playing with him, summing him up in one word – “amazing”.

“I’m very excited to come here,” Llorente told Tottenham’s official website. “I think Harry Kane is an amazing striker and I’m very happy to play with him and the other players. I want to get to know them and start to train with my new team-mates.

“I’m 32-years-old but I want to learn every day and I think I can learn a lot of things from Harry and the other players. I can learn a lot from Mauricio Pochettino and I will do my best here.”

Llorente scored 15 goals and provided one assist in 28 Premier League starts for Swansea during the 2016-17 campaign.
