Spurs begin their Champions League campaign on Tuesday night against Inter Milan.

Fernando Llorente has posted on Twitter from Tottenham Hotspur’s airplane as Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to Italy to begin their Champions League campaign against Inter Milan.

The 33-year-old has featured for just nine minutes of Spurs’ campaign this season, coming on as a substitute during the 2-1 loss to Watford. He was omitted from the 18-man squad that lost to Liverpool on Saturday.

Spurs come into the clash against Inter Milan following two straight losses, with the pressure up against Mauricio Pochettino to deliver his first trophy as Spurs manager since taking over back in 2014.

Llorente posted a picture from the plane jetting off to Italy on Twitter, which could suggest that he may be in with a chance of being included in the 18-man squad – meaning he will get a recall following his Liverpool axe.

Spurs are expected to start Harry Kane up front despite the England captain’s questionable form this season, scoring only two goals in five games.

Question marks have been raised over the 24-year-old’s fitness but he is still expected to remain in the side over former Juventus striker Llorente, who featured in seven of Spurs’ eight Champions League games last season.
