Do Manchester United fans agree with this outspoken comment?

The following comment was left on our match reaction article to United’s 2-1 defeat to Ajax…

Stvbk60 : How many shocking performances before we say enough.Utd over the last few years have been very poorly coached and clueless in Europe.Ferguson is hell bent in bringing us back to where he found us.Thank god the standard of the Premiership is so poor as Utd can still get into Europe again next year.

Do you agree?

Our view is that while United clearly have an attitude problem when it comes to home European games, lets not be so melodramatic.

Fair play to Sir Alex in holding his hands up and admitting he got his team selection wrong against Ajax.

The performance was a stark example of just why United find themselves in the Europa League, too complacent, and too quick in believing the job is done when they go a goal up.

But to suggest Ferguson is going to take United back to the club back to where he found them is quite extreme.

Don’t forget when Sir Alex took over in November 1986 United were second from bottom in the old first division.

He managed to get them up to 11th, and the rest as they say, is history.

If anybody knows what they are doing at United it is Ferguson, last night was a game where he will have learned a lot about certain players, and he will know what he needs to do in the summer to change things.

Don’t forget only last year United were in the Champions League Final, so a statement suggesting the club have been poorly coached and clueless in Europe is wide of the mark.

What do you think?
