Rangers are yet to appoint a new manager at Ibrox after sacking Pedro Caixinha almost a month ago.

Rangers sacked Portuguese manager Pedro Caixinha almost a month ago on October 26, after a disappointing draw to Kilmarnock left the club in fourth place in the Scottish Premiership table.
The Gers have been linked with a whole host of names, with the favourite being Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes. But the Gers’ lack of movement has seen Dons chairman Stewart Milne say publicly that his manager is going nowhere.

Now, Ferguson has criticised the Rangers board for their non-existent activity when it has come to appointing a new manager, stating he felt sorry for the Ibrox faithful.
“I’m a Rangers fan first and foremost, I’m frustrated, disappointed,” Ferguson said. “Now I know it’s an important appointment, but four weeks is far too long. Nothing’s come out from the board. Nobody says a word and I feel sorry for the fans.
“These fans, when Rangers went down to League Two, paid a hell of a lot of money for season books and turned out in force. They still turn out in force and the board decide not to say a word.”

Interim manager Graeme Murty is set to take charge of his fourth game during his second spell as caretaker on Friday night, as the Gers travel to Dens Park to take on Dundee FC.
Three points for the Gers and Murty’s third win out of four would take Rangers to second place before Hibernian and Aberdeen play this weekend, as well as strengthening 43-year-old Murty’s claim for the permanent role.
