Anton Ferdinand has said on talkSPORT (3:50pm, July 2, 2022) that he would love to see West Ham United sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The former Hammers central defender believes that Rashford needs a new challenge, and that the £200,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international striker needs to leave Manchester United for a new challenge.

The 24-year-old has been linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

90min reported only last month that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, West Ham and Borussia Dortmund all enquired about signing Rashford from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

However, both Rashford and Manchester United turned down their enquiries.

The striker himself has said recently that he is looking forward to working with new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Ferdinand said about Rashford on talkSPORT (3:50pm, July 2, 2022): “I think he needs a new challenge.I think he need a new challenge.”

When asked if he would take Rashford to play as a central striker for West Ham, Ferdinand said: “100%. All day long. Rashford, all day long.”

Marcus Rashford from Manchested United to West Ham United ain’t happening

In our opinion, Marcus Rashford is not going to leave Manchester United for West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old forward is playing for arguably the biggest club in England who are embarking on a new challenge under new head coach Erik ten Hag.

Rashford could become a key figure in the team at Old Trafford and could be back to his best under Ten Hag.
