Rio Ferdinand believes with Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal should have signed Javier Hernandez when he left Manchester United.
Former Manchester United and England legend Rio Ferdinand offered his praise for Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez, suggesting that either Spurs or Arsenal should have signed him, as quoted by the Metro.
Hernandez made the move to the Bundesliga from United in the summer of 2015 for the paltry fee of £7.3 million, and has gone on to prove his class by scoring 33 goals in 53 outings for Leverkusen.

Ferdinand, who played alongside the 28-year-old Mexican for four years at Old Trafford, believes Hernandez would have been the ideal signing for ether of the North London rivals, as quoted by the Metro:
“I can’t believe he was allowed to leave. Even more surprising, he was sold for £7.3 million, that’s an absolute steal. If he played for Spurs he’d score 20 a season, or Arsenal. His movement is so infectious to the team, he’s always on the move.”

Spurs, in particular, would have benefited enormously from having Hernandez as part of their squad, what with their troubles in front of goal during the absence of first-choice striker Harry Kane.
The two London rivals face each other on Sunday in their crucial Premier League clash, and a win for the Gunners would take them six points clear of Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Whether Kane will be fit and available remains to be seen, but either way, what Spurs fans wouldn’t give to have Chicarito as part of the travelling party to the Emirates own Sunday.
