The Sunderland loanee is said to want a move to the Turkish club.
Fenerbahce’s Jeremain Lens celebrates scoring their second goal
A Fenerbahce legend has cast doubt on the potential transfer of Sunderland attacker Jeremain Lens to the Istanbul side.
The Dutch international’s good form for the Turkish side has actually seen him linked with two of their nearest rivals – Besiktas and Galatasaray.
Ridvan Dilmen, who spent eight years with the club and managed Fenerbahce briefly, is quoted by Milliyet as sharing his opinion that he could make a move to a rival team – just as Gokhan Gonul did last summer:
“The player is already loaned. He is a very good character.
“But this is not clear. Did Gokhan Gonul not go to Besiktas? It could be.”

The Dutchman, who the Guardian claim cost the Black Cats a fee in the region of £13 million from Dynamo Kiev, was reunited with his former Sunderland and PSV Eindhoven boss Dick Advocaat in Istanbul and reduced the wage bill at the Stadium of Light.
His form has been good at the club and Sporx in Turkey reported this week that the Dutch forward has informed Sunderland of his wish to join the Turkish side and that he has no desire to go elsewhere – informing the Black Cats to discard interest from elsewhere.
No return to Sunderland however seems to be the only definite outcome.
