Tottenham Hotspur’s Vincent Janssen ended a two-month goal drought in Turkey.

On-loan Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen ended a two-month goal drought on Wednesday by scoring for Fenerbahce in a 6-0 Turkish Cup win over Adana Demirspor.
The Dutch hitman had gone seven games for the Turkish side without a goal following his season-long loan move from Tottenham.
But the £17 million Spurs signing from 2016, who has netted twice in 10 league games for the Istanbul side overall, was back among the goals tonight and Fenerbahce fans are delighted with him.

Tottenham thought they were getting a massive upgrade in Fernando Llorente – who bagged 15 Premier League goals for Swansea last season – but the Spaniard is yet to open his account for Spurs and continues to rile fans of the North London club with a series of profligate cameos.
Janssen hit five goals in 38 games across all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino’s side last term – only two were from open play – but it honestly seems like Llorente might struggle to better that record come May.
Of course, he has time on his side, and is a proven Premier League talent so you can’t rule him out, but you get the sense that he is hemorrhaging self-belief every time that he pulls on the club’s shirt and it remains to be seen whether he really is an improvement on the Netherlands international.
