Felix Wiedwald joined Leeds United from Werder Bremen in the summer transfer window.

Wiedwald joined Championship side Leeds from Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen in the summer transfer window.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites had to pay Bremen a transfer fee of around £500,000 in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old goalkeeper.

Robert Green – now at Huddersfield Town in the Premier League – was the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds last season, but Wiedwald has established himself as the number one custodian at the Whites at the moment.
The former MSV Duisburg and Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper has revealed that he went on YouTube to learn more about Leeds before the making the switch to Leeds in the summer transfer window.
Wiedwald has also shared his opinion on the Leeds fans, saying that they are “great” and “unbelievable”.

“I heard so much about Leeds before I came here,” Wiedwald told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
“It’s a huge club with so many supporters and there is an unbelievable atmosphere at Elland Road.
“I looked at some media before on You Tube about the club and the stadium and so I expected it!
“The Leeds fans are great supporters, unbelievable. It’s a big club – not in my time but 15 years ago Leeds were in the Champions League.”
Leeds have made a strong start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign, and find themselves third in the league table with 11 points from five matches.
