Felix Wiedwald and Robert Green are fighting for the Leeds United goalkeeping spot.
Green was the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds under Garry Monk – who is now in charge of Championship rivals Middlesbrough – during the 2016-17 campaign, but Wiedwald seems to have established himself in the starting lineup.
The 27-year-old has featured in all of the Whites’ competitive matches so far this season, although there have been injury concerns for former West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers star Green this campaign.

Wiedwald joined Championship club Leeds from Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen in the summer transfer window.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites had to pay Bremen a transfer fee of around £500,000 in order to secure the services of the former Germany Under-20 international.
The former MSV Duisburg and Eintracht Frankfurt custodian has said that there is a professional relationship between him and his main competitor for the number one spot Green, adding that they can both learn from each other.

“English football is different, more direct and more tackling but I like it,” Wiedwald told The Yorkshire Evening Post on keeping Green out of the team.
“We have done two clean sheets in a row and if we are so strong as in the last two games then I am happy. It’s always hard competition to be the no. 1 but everybody needs the competition to improve themselves, I like the competition.
“I had a good season last year, I know what I can do and what I can achieve. Both keepers are professional and we have a professional relationship. I can learn something off him and perhaps maybe he can learn something off me.”
