Former Manchester City star Caicedo has been reportedly told by new Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa’s old side Lazio that he is surplus to requirements.

Serie A side Lazio have reportedly transfer listed former Manchester City powerhouse Felipe Caicedo ahead of the summer transfer window, and Leeds United should act quickly.
The striker has experience of English football, turning out 35 times for City and scoring seven times – four of which came in the Premier League.

Somewhat of a journeyman, the 68-time Ecuador international has turned out for the likes of Sporting Lisbon, Espanyol, FC Basel, Malaga, Levante, Lokomotiv Moscow and even turned out for Qatari Stars League side Al-Jazira.
But after just one season at Lazio, Caicedo is expected to be on the move once again and new Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa must consider a move that would see the Argentine manager raid his former side Lazio to land the ex-City striker.

Leeds are in desperate need of a talisman after losing Chris Wood last summer, following his 30-goal 2016-17 campaign. Pierre-Michel Lasogga replaced him on loan from Hamburg, but was a shadow of Wood.
He has now returned to Germany, leaving Leeds with just Caleb Ekuban – who managed two goals throughout the entirety of last season – and Kemar Roofe.

Though he has little English experience, Caicedo’s physique is perfect for the Championship. Renowned for his brute strength and physicality, the striker plays on the last man and is strong in the air but quick in a foot race.
Landing Caicedo would be an excellent start to Bielsa’s reign, ending the Whites’ search for a new striker.
