West Ham United have plenty of top notch players currently plying their trade at the London Stadium.

West Ham ace Felipe Anderson sat down for an exclusive interview with Soccer AM, and provided somewhat of a shock answer when asked to name the best player currently at the club.

The Brazilian joined the Hammers in the summer for a club record fee, and he was one of a whole host of new and exciting signings made by Manuel Pellegrini before the start of the season.

With so many top class players currently at West Ham, Anderson’s response when asked who is the best player at the club might just come as a surprise.

The 25-year-old told Soccer AM:

“I think that would be Fabianski, the goalkeeper. He saved us in a lot of occasions this season, so I think right now he is one of the best. He’s good.”

The Poland international joined West Ham from Swansea City in the summer, for just £7 million, and he has gone on to be a real hit at the London Stadium.

The 33-year-old has made more saves than any other keeper in the Premier League this season, with 117 to his name, and he has proven to be a wonderful coup for the Hammers.

Having said all of this, however, it will still be a huge shock for West Ham fans to hear Anderson name Fabianski as the club’s best player, considering how much talent there is currently amongst Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.
