West Ham United struggled for large periods against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
West Ham ace Felipe Anderson spoke to reporters in the aftermath of Saturday’s dramatic come-from-behind win against Huddersfield Town, and shared what he and his teammates discussed during the half-time break, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Hammers currently sit in ninth spot in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of seventh placed Wolves, although the Black Country outfit do have a game in hand over Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
West Ham have been rather inconsistent this season, but Saturday’s win over the Terriers will give them great confidence that they can crack the top seven come May.
Anderson spoke to reporters after the game at the weekend, and shared how he and his Hammers teammates discussed the need to keep pressing the visitors during the half-time break, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“We started well the game, we were pressing them and got the lead but then we slowed down our rhythm and they equalised and then scored again but we have experienced players and we talked, saying that we needed to keep on pressing them, that we were at home and we managed to get the result.”
West Ham now have two weeks off, before they return to action against Everton on March 30th, and nothing less than a win will do against the Toffees, with tough away games against Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all still to come for Pellegrini’s men.
