The West Ham United goalkeeper has proven to be an excellent signing for the club.
West Ham star Felipe Anderson spoke to reporters after his side’s fine 2-1 win away at Southampton on Thursday, and offered high words of praise for his teammate Łukasz Fabiański, suggesting that the Polish stopper has been amazing this season, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 33-year-old joined the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £7 million, and he has proven to be an absolute steal for the east London outfit.
Fabianski has been crucial to West Ham during their fine recent run that has seen them win five of their last six Premier League games.
The 47-capped Poland international’s shot-stopping ability has saved the Hammers on numerous occasions this season, and the £7 million that the east London outfit paid for his services is now beginning to look like mere pocket change.
Anderson is certainly a big fan of Fabianski.
The Brazilian spoke to the club’s official website, and highlighted how much of a positive influence the experienced goalkeeper has on the rest of the team:
“I speak constantly to him and he gives me trust. Even when we don’t believe in ourselves he’s there, encouraging us and making us play better every time. He has been amazing for us.”
West Ham are aiming to finish inside the top seven this season, and their chances of doing just that will depend heavily on whether Fabianski can keep up his fine form between the sticks.
The former Arsenal man has already proven to be a real hit at the London Stadium, and Hammers fans will be thinking long may that continue.
