As Arsenal were locking horns with Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon, Manchester United fans were making themselves heard at Old Trafford.

Both Arsenal and Man United fans can come to an agreement on one thing, they want their owners – the Glazer’s and the Kroenke’s – out of their club.

Arsenal fans protested outside of the Emirates a fortnight ago, prior to their game against Everton, about how their club is being run and the direction it’s going in following the saga surrounding the European Super League.

The feeling is pretty clear with the Arsenal fans towards their American owners, they want them to sell up and allow the club to re-build again.

Well, on Sunday, protests from Man United fans resulted in their game against Liverpool being postponed.

Whilst a select few let the rest of the peaceful protests down, some Arsenal fans backed those who spoke out against the Glazer’s because they understand the hurt, anger and frustration coming from their rival supporters.

It’s a toss of a coin as to who has the more problematic owners, Arsenal supporters will perhaps point to themselves because they have gone from invincibles, and just like their owners, to invisibles on the pitch.

But this doesn’t just boil down to success, or a lack of it, the problem is the power these owners have, how they are using it and how they treat the fans, amongst other things.

Football used to be for the working class. Well, since 1992, the ‘beautiful game’ has gone away from the working class.

Big-money owners, such as Arsenal and Manchester United’s, are interested in one thing and one thing only, and that’s filling up their pockets.

And recent protests, both yesterday and in recent weeks, is frustration from supporters that they want football to return to those who helped create it.

Here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to the scenes at Old Trafford:
