Newcastle United central defender Federico Fernandez has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Leicester City on Wednesday evening.

Steve Bruce’s side lost to Premier League rivals Leicester in the second round of the Carabao Cup at St. James’ Park.

The match finished 1-1, and the Foxes won the tie 4-2 on penalties to book their place in the next round of the competition.

Newcastle defender Fernandez has taken to Instagram to give his reaction to the draw, and the 30-year-old Argentine – who earns £43,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has made a strong statement.

Moving on

It will have come as a massive disappointment to Newcastle fans the defeat to Leicester, but the Magpies need to move on.

Newcastle could still make an impact in the FA Cup, and more importantly, the Magpies need to focus on the Premier League and make sure that they do not end up in the bottom three of the league table.
