Leeds United have been linked with a move for FC Utrecht youngster Giovanni Troupee.

FC Utrecht teenager Giovanni Troupee has told Dutch outlet FC Update that he just wants “to play football” with Leeds United and three Serie A sides reportedly interested.
Troupee, 19, has alerted Leeds and the Italian trio after already clocking up 55 league and cup appearances for Twente despite still being in his teens. In those matches, he has even scored five goals and added four assists.

The youngster, who came on as a substitute in the first half of Utrecht’s 1-1 draw against Feyenoord on Wednesday night, said he wants to play football but also stated that he hopes that is with his current club.
Asked about Leeds and Italian interest in his services, Troupee said: “I can’t answer that question, the only thing I can say is that I want to play football, I hope that this is possible at Utrecht.”

Leeds could be in the market for a new right-back after mainstay Luke Ayling suffered an ankle injury in the 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest, which has subsequently ruled him out of action for the rest of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Whites do have Gaetano Berardi on the right side of defence after signing Laurens De Bock at left-back, while Vurnon Anita can fill in. Lewie Coyle remains on loan with League One side Fleetwood Town.
One-time Netherlands international Troupee, who started Wednesday’s game on the bench with Leeds loanee Mateusz Klich, has more than three years remaining on his current contract at the Stadion Galgenwaard.
