Joshua Brenet admits a move to Premier League outfit Fulham would be a ‘dream’ this month but FC Twente coach Ron Jans expects to see the Eredivisie star stay put, speaking to ESPN.
With Fulham in hot pursuit of a new right-back before this week’s deadline, keep a lookout for any private jets touching down at Heathrow from the Netherlands.
Marco Silva’s surprise packages are targeting Heerenveen’s Milan van Ewijk as well as 28-year-old Brenet; The Standard reporting that talks with both players are underway.

Van Ewijk admitted earlier this month that he had mixed feelings about a potential switch to Craven Cottage. Brenet, it seems, would be easier to convince.
Joshua Brenet dreams of the Premier League as Fulham hold talks
“Firstly, I feel good here,” begins the former PSV Eindhoven ace. “Fulham was in the media. That’s very nice. Of course, you wait for such an opportunity. It is what I I’ve said before; (joining) a Premier League team will always be a dream.
“If it’s good for all parties, we’ll see what comes of it.”
Brenet does admit, however, that talks with Fulham are not at an advanced stage as the clock ticks down to deadline day.
“Calls have been made here and there but that’s it really,” says the two-time Dutch international.
FC Twente are flying high under veteran coach Jans; sitting fifth and just one point behind an Ajax side who sacked Erik ten Hag’s replacement, Alfred Schreuder, following a run of seven Eredivisie games without a win.
Jans, meanwhile, is confident that Brenet will still be a Twente player this time next week with Champions League qualification still a very real possibility.
“I dare not say 100 per cent for sure. But, as far as I know, Joshua Brenet is not going to Fulham,” Jans admits. “But I’ll be happy when it’s February 1, because that gives (me) a certain peace.
“We want to keep things together.”
Fulham have also made offers for Fluminense starlet Andre Trindade and Torino’s Sasa Lukic.
