Andrew Gutman has just left Celtic on loan for a second time it seems.

The 22-year-old joined up with his Hoops team-mates for the first time this summer after originally signing for the Scottish Premiership champions in January, when Brendan Rodgers was in Glasgow.

The Celtic defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Charlotte Independence and he has now joined another United States-based side.

FC Cincinnati announced today that they had signed the American on loan for their season.

And here’s how some fans of the MLS side reacted to the announcement.

Is it a good move for Gutman? Yes and no.

It’s a good move because at least he’ll play regularly. Being a left-back, the youngster wouldn’t have kicked a ball under Neil Lennon this season, even if they lose Kieran Tierney.

Then again, it’s also not a great move because no matter what he does stateside, it won’t give the Celtic boss pause for thought because of the standard, whereas it would’ve had he joined a Premiership side on loan.
