Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was confirmed by The Telegraph (via Nottinghamshire Live) that Kamil Grosicki will not be leaving West Brom for the City Ground.

Chris Hughton’s side narrowly missed out on signing the Poland international while the window was still open.

According to Tomasz Włodarczyk of meczyki.pl, the Championship outfit submitted the paperwork just 21 seconds after the deadline had passed.

An arbitration hearing on Tuesday assessed the situation, and today, it has been confirmed that the former Hull City winger won’t be joining Forest.

Grosicki can still link up with Hughton in January. However, in the meantime, the 32-year-old will remain at the Hawthorns.

Slaven Bilic initially left him out of the Baggies’ 25-man Premier League squad, which meant that the attacker would only be able to play in cup competitions for the Midlands-based outfit.

However, after today’s verdict, the forward has now been included in the club’s Premier League squad for the remainder of the campaign, according to their official site.

It’s a really sad situation, in which there are few winners.

West Brom are stuck with a player who they were happy to offload, while Forest will also be without a player who could have made a real difference in the Championship.

For Grosicki himself, it is also a blow as the £800,000 man would’ve presumably been one of Hughton’s main men, where he’ll now be a squad player under Bilic.

Let’s see how the Forest fans on Twitter reacted to the disappointing news…
