Nottingham Forest owner continues not to endear himself to fans.

The bad feeling around Nottingham Forest continues after a long week almost coming to pass since news broke of their takeover collapse last Friday.

Club owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi issued a statement on the club website yesterday speaking of his determination to get Forest back on track, and wishing the club luck for their fixture against Bristol City this weekend.

There are clearly bridges which need mending, and many of them already burnt.

Al-Hasawi continues to hold a presence on social media, and has been inundated with messages from fans over the past week, the majority of them unpleasant.

After his statement going out, he decided to respond to a supporter who said he had no trust in his words.

Forest are currently without a manager, and with the club struggling to stay out of the relegation zone, the job is not an attractive one.

The US consortium linked with buying Forest yesterday put out a statement of their own expressing their frustration at the breakdown in discussions, The BBC reported.

Their words left the door slightly ajar to revisiting negotiations, but whether Fawaz is willing to do so with them is another matter.
