The 24-year-old is accused of gesturing at Sheffield Wednesday supporters during Saturday’s defeat against Derby County.

The father of Sheffield Wednesday’s Adam Reach says his son denies directing an offensive gesture at Owls supporters during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Derby County.
Wednesday’s loss was their fourth in five matches and always looked likely once their captain, Glenn Loovens, had been shown a red card in only the fifth minute after conceding a penalty from which Matej Vydra scored.

And Reach’s frustration appeared to get the better of him, with several Owls fans accusing the winger-cum-wing-back of gesturing at them with his fingers while the game was ongoing.
The alleged action provoked an angry reaction on social media, but after being questioned about the matter via his own Twitter account, Reach’s father, Paul, said the Wednesday number 20 raised only his arms and is sorry for doing so.
It’s fair to say that Reach has struggled to completely win over the Owls faithful following his £5 million move from Middlesbrough 14 months ago, although he is, according to WhoScored.com, the club’s standout performer this season.
Nevertheless, many Wednesdayites have leapt to the 24-year-old’s defence in light of the allegations.
