Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Martin Odegaard has named Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the fastest player in the Arsenal squad.
The Norwegian was playing a game where he had to make his ultimate teammate based on a number of attributes you’d find on a FIFA Ultimate Team card, and when it came to pace, he knew who he was choosing.
Odegaard claimed that Aubameyang is the fastest player at Arsenal.
“I would say Aubameyang, I think he’s the fastest player in the team, and I don’t see any other players being on his level. It is difficult to be faster than him I think,” Odegaard said.
The midfielder was then asked if Odegaard fancied himself to beat Odegaard in a race, to which he replied:
“Not really, not really. I don’t think I stand a chance, but some of the other players maybe, Kieran Tierney said he might beat him, but I don’t know, we’ll have to see.”

Arsenal’s team is full of speedy players, with the likes of Hector Bellerin, Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe possessing lightning speed.
However, it seems as though Aubameyang leaves them all behind when it comes to pace, and to be fair, it’s easy to see just how fast the Gabonese forward is when he’s on the pitch.
We only get to see Aubameyang’s speed in short bursts usually, but on the rare occasion that he gets a lot of space to run into, you can see just how rapid he actually is.
