Rangers like to strike pre-contract agreements – and showed that by securing three over the last month.

The Gers landed Aberdeen winger Scott Wright and Bournemouth defender Jack Simpson on pre-contract agreements to join this summer, before paying to sign them immediately on deadline day.

Just a day later, Rangers announced another pre-contract agreement as Bournemouth midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh penned a deal with the club.

He will arrive in the summer, and another target could yet be poached in a similar move having failed to join another club before the deadline.

Oostende striker Fashion Sakala is a Rangers target, as the Daily Record claim that he is high on their wish list for a potential pre-contract deal.

Sakala, 23, has been in superb form in Belgium this season, smashing 12 goals and two assists in 22 games for Oostende this season.

The Zambian, formerly of Spartak Moscow, can now leave for nothing this summer with his contract expiring – even though Oostende desperately tried to sell him.

Voetbalkrant report that that they offered Sakala out to various clubs, but he rejected a move to Royal Antwerp out of fear he wouldn’t play much as a striker there.

Ironically, Rangers face Antwerp in the Europa League later this month, so Sakala could have ended up playing against Steven Gerrard’s men had he taken the move.

Sakala doesn’t want to play out wide any more, and with the last chance to cash in now gone, he will be leaving for free – with Rangers surely looking into striking a deal.
