Newcastle United target, Aaron Ramsey, has been ‘banished’ from training with Juventus’ first-team, according to a reporter.

Alex Crook told talkSPORT that the ‘fascinating situation’ has resulted in Juventus captain, Giorgio Chiellini, urging Massimiliano Allegri to reinstate Ramsey back in with the senior players.

With only 98 minutes of Serie A football for Juventus this season, it’s pretty obvious that Ramsey’s time in Italy is up.

In a World Cup year, especially when Wales need the play-offs to qualify for Qatar 2022, regular game time becomes even more important for someone like Ramsey.

Therefore, it isn’t a surprise that the midfielder has been touted to make a return to the Premier League, with the big pockets of Newcastle lined up.

talkSPORT journalist Crook shared an insight into the ‘fascinating situation’ involving Ramsey in Turin and Newcastle holding talks with the player’s camp.

“This is a fascinating situation,” said Crook. “The Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, came out and described Ramsey as a ‘departing player’.

“I know Newcastle have certainly held talks with Ramsey’s representatives. But maybe this one isn’t clear-cut as it seems.

“Apparently, he is owed quite a bit of money, Aaron Ramsey, by Juventus. He isn’t in any hurry to walk away from the club. Also been banished by Allegri from training with the first team.

“It’s my understanding that senior players, including the captain, Giorgio Chiellini, have implored Allegri to bring him back from the cold and let him train with the first team again.”

Given that Ramsey has earned more game time for Wales, than he has done in Juve colours this season, really sums up his time at the club.

Whether it’s Newcastle or elsewhere, the attack-minded midfielder needs to look for those regular minutes.

Eddie Howe would provide that in bucket loads at St James’ Park and Newcastle also have the money to lure him towards their direction.

It’s just a case of where Ramsey stands and whether he is desperate to make a move during the January transfer window.
