Everton are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has told the Jim White Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 7th November, that supporters of the Merseyside club should not forget that they have moved forward this season.
Everton were heavily beaten 5-0 by Chelsea in their most recent outing, and Ronald Koeman’s side came under heavy criticism.
Everton were completely outplayed by Chelsea, and never managed to look a threat at Stamford Bridge.
However, Moshiri wants to quickly forget about that result, and remember the progress that Everton have already made this term.
“We shouldn’t forget that last season we had a terrible home record, and that the club is going the right way,” he said.
Everton are still in seventh place in the Premier League table, despite a slight dip in form of late.
The Toffees began the season in wonderful form, but they have found victories slightly tougher to come by in more recent weeks.
Moshiri insists that getting into Europe was Koeman’s first target at Everton, and the owner has hinted that his side could be active in the January transfer window to try and ensure that they climb in to the top six.
“At the beginning of the season our plan was to get into Europe,” he added. “We are on target and the manager will strengthen the team in areas that he considers necessary.”
