West Ham United could pick up the midfielder on a free transfer when his contract with Arsenal expires at the end of this month.

West Ham have been linked with a move for Arsenal ace Jack Wilshere, who will be available on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of this month, and Hammers fans could not hide their delight on Twitter upon hearing the rumours.
According to the Mirror, the 26-year-old held talks with Unai Emery this week, but was unimpressed with what the Gunners were prepared to offer him.

The British tabloid claim that he already has an offer on the table from West Ham, as Manuel Pellegrini looks to bolster his central midfield options at the London Stadium.
The 34-capped England international burst onto the scene with Arsenal 10 years ago, but he has failed to reach the heights that were expected of him.

Injuries have certainly played their part in that, though, and if Wilshere can maintain his fitness for a prolonged period of time, he will surely prove to be an excellent signing for whichever club wins the race for his signature.
West Ham fans made their feelings very clear on the matter today on Twitter…
