West Ham United have been linked with Olivier Giroud, and it seems that the striker is looking to leave Chelsea.
Eurosport reported earlier this month that West Ham are interested in signing Giroud as a replacement for Sebastien Haller, who has left for Ajax for £20.3 million.
Good signing for West Ham United
Giroud is a very experienced striker who knows the Premier League well and was a massive success at Arsenal, scoring 105 goals in 253 games, according to BBC Sport.
The France international is struggling for playing time at Chelsea at the moment, and one suspects that the chance to play regularly could be tempting to the 34-year-old.
With Haller leaving West Ham for Ajax this month, there is room in manager David Moyes’s squad for a striker, and signing Giroud – described as “fantastic” by Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia on the club’s official website in January 2018 – would make sense.

Potential boost for West Ham United
It seems that Giroud is looking to leave Chelsea this month. According to Defensa Central, an intermediary has offered the Frenchman to defending Spanish champions Madrid.
The report has claimed that it will cost €5 million (£4.45 million) for Los Blancos to complete the signing of Giroud, who is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season.
Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has turned down the chance to sign Giroud, according to the report, which is a potential boost to the Hammers.
Meanwhile, Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin has said that the agent of Gaetan Laborde has told him that West Ham are interested in the forward.
GFFN quotes Nicollin as saying: “I have not received any offers from a club on my table for Gaetan Laborde.
“His agent called me to tell me about interest from West Ham but I have not had any formal offers from Gaetan.”
