Nottingham Forest flyer Matty Cash is a ‘fantastic player’ who would fit in perfectly at Sheffield United or Burnley, Jamie O’Hara has told talkSPORT (6 August, 11:00am).
After collapsing to a 4-1 home defeat to Stoke City on the final day of the Championship season, Forest not only saw their hopes of Premier League football go up in smoke.
Consigned to another year of second-tier football, the East Midland giants might now be forced to bid farewell to a few of their star players.
Cash, a 22-year-old academy graduate, has been a revelation over the last 12 months, adapting brilliantly to a new, rampaging right-back role under Sabri Lamouchi.
His all-action displays have not gone unnoticed either.
The Telegraph reports that Sheffield United have made a £10 million bid, while Southampton and West Ham United are also keeping close tabs on the former Wycombe Wanderers youngster.

And O’Hara, who played against the £15 million-rated Cash during his final few years in professional football, is not surprised by the ongoing speculation.
“He’s a fantastic player,” says the former Tottenham, Wolves and Fulham midfielder.
“He’s a good player and he will play in the Premier League. I did think the likes of Sheffield United and Burnley, that type, he would be right up their street because he’s very good physically, he’s good on the ball.
“So I’m not surprised to see him linked with some very good Premier League clubs.”
Southampton are surely about to back out of the race, however, given that Kyle Walker-Peters is on the verge of joining Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team on a permanent basis after an impressive loan spell on the South Coast.
