Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Mikel Arteta has been full of praise for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after his performance against Burnley at the weekend.
Aubameyang didn’t manage to get any goals or assists against the Clarets, but Arteta still liked what he saw from the Gabonese forward, praising him particularly for his pressing.

Arteta had nothing but good things to say about Aubameyang.
I was really impressed with Auba as well – I think his rhythm and high pressing was fantastic. It was a real commitment and purpose because you can go to try and win the ball or put pressure [on] – but you can tell when you are really doing it or when you’ve been told to do it,” Arteta said.
Improving
Arsenal are slowly growing into this season, and so is Aubameyang.
The striker has blown hot and cold for the best part of the last two years, but now he seems to have rediscovered his drive, and if he continues to play like this, goals will surely follow.
Aubameyang has only netted once in the Premier League so far this term, but don’t be surprised if he starts finding the back of the net on a regular basis once again in the coming weeks.
On his day, Aubameyang is amongst the best strikers in the Premier League, and as Arteta’s comments show, his game is about more than just goals.
If Aubameyang keeps this up, Arsenal will surely rocket up the table.
