Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the news that Adam Forshaw could be back in action for the first team soon.
According to well-known and well-respected journalist Phil Hay in The Athletic this morning, Forshaw could play for the Leeds Under-23 side against their Aston Villa counterparts on Friday.
The midfielder has not played for the first team for a year and a half due to hip and groin problems.
The report has added that the 29-year-old midfielder completed an hour of the game between the Leeds Under-23 side and non-League York City at Thorp Arch on Saturday.
The former Middlesbrough star did not have any issue and could feature against the Villa Under-23 team on Friday, according to the report.
It remains to be seen if Forshaw gets to turn out for the Leeds first team this season, but the signs certainly look very encouraging in terms of the former Everton prospect playing for the Whites in the Premier League during the 2021-22 campaign.

Some Leeds fans are excited at the prospect of Forshaw playing for the first team again, as shown below on Twitter.
