Speaking to the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Mark Noble has been waxing lyrical about his West Ham teammate Tomas Soucek.
The Hammers skipper is seemingly a big fan of the midfielder, claiming that he gives everything on the pitch and that he’s been a real gem of a signing.
Noble reckons there may be a few more scouts in the Czech Republic after Soucek’s impact at West Ham, and we can’t help but feel that he may be right.
“The players love him. Tom is exactly what it says on the tin. He gives everything on the pitch, you saw against Spurs when he was cut and still wanted to get up and block the ball. And to be honest, that’s what the fans, they love that here. They love Tom and I’m gutted that fans haven’t seen that much in person due to the lockdown and all that,” Noble said.
“Tom and his good friend Vlad are a credit to the club they come from and their country, they’ve come here and they’ve been fantastic, the staff love them, they get on with their work and there’s no egos.”
“I’m sure there’ll be plenty of scouts in the Czech Republic soon, because we’ve found a gem.”

We can’t disagree with anything Noble has said there.
Soucek has been a revelation since joining the Hammers, and while there are plenty of players who deserve credit for the club’s miraculous performances this season, Soucek may be the Hammer of the Year when all is said and done.
The midfielder does everything on the pitch, he battles hard in every tackle, he covers every blade of grass, and he’s a constant goal threat.
Soucek has been a wonderful signing and we can only hope his good form continues for a long time.
