Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has raved about Trevoh Chalobah for his performance against Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues played out a 2-2 draw with Forest at home in London in the league this afternoon.
Raheem Sterling scored both the goals for Chelsea.
Chalobah started at right-back for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.
And Lampard was impressed with the 23-year-old £42,000-a-week (SalarySport) Englishman, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder.
Frank Lampard on Trevoh Chalobah for Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest
Lampard told Chelsea’s official website about Chalobah: “Trevoh had a really good game.
“He was fantastic the way he plays when you ask him to do things. He does them to a tee, he steps in with urgency and he defends well. Physically he is great.”

Impressive performance
In our view, Trevoh Chalobah played well for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The 23-year-old is a central defender by trade, but he is able to operate at full-back.
And that versatility is helpful for Chelsea.
Chalobah was involved in Sterling’s opening goal for the Blues when he did superbly well getting to the byline before pulling back the cross for the former Manchester City attacker.
The youngster played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 83.8%, won one header, took 125 touches, attempted three dribbles, made two tackles, one interception and four clearances, and put in two crosses.
