Ian Wright has praised reported Arsenal target Ben White on ITV (7:10pm, June 6, 2021).
The Arsenal legend was impressed by the performance of White during England’s win against Romania.
Wright believes that White, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, was fantastic for the Three Lions, who won the friendly international 1-0.
The Sun reported in May that Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing the former Leeds United loanee.
Brighton and Hove Albion will reportedly want £35 million as transfer fee for the 23-year-old, who can also play as a defensive midfielder.
White said about White on ITV (7:10pm, June 6, 2021): “Ben White was fantastic today. I know he wasn’t up against top quality opponents, but he was really fantastic.”
Ben White to Arsenal?
White started for England and was very composed at the back.
The former Leeds loanee was good on the ball, made some good blocks and challenges, and was always looking to support attacking plays.
The 23-year-old has now been included in the 26-year-old man England squad for the Euro 2020 finals.
White was very good for Brighton this past season, just as he was during his loan spell at Leeds in 2019-20.
Arsenal would be a better team with the youngster in it, but with William Saliba coming back from loan and Konstantinos Mavropanos also due to return, the Gunners will need to sell before they can sign White.
