According to talkSPORT, Arsenal and Liverpool are considering a January bid for Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.

It is mentioned by talkSPORT‘s Alex Crook that Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the Mali international. Jurgen Klopp is also monitoring the Brighton No.8 as Georginio Wijnaldum’s contract situation remains up in the air.

Back in July, the 24-year-old netted his first Premier League goal with a wonderful, long-range strike against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Bissouma’s curled effort drew praise from Arsenal legend Ian Wright on Match of the Day, who waxed lyrical about the goal alongside Alan Shearer.

As quoted by Sussex Live, Wright said: ‘What a goal. It was a fantastic goal. I thought his touch was poor there, but this one, it is fantastic.

‘This was Bissouma’s first goal in the Premier League, but if you are going to lose it, then lose it to that goal.’

Signing the former Lille man – who cost Brighton £15 million – would be a smart move from either Arteta or Klopp.

The Malian is an intriguing player who has plenty of strings to his bow.

As WhoScored shows, Bissouma records an impressive 3.2 tackles per game, while also making 1.9 clearances every 90 minutes in the Premier League.

Interestingly, the Issia-born midfielder also enjoys carrying the ball, registering 1.3 dribbles per game, while also drawing 1.2 fouls per game.

Bissouma also takes 1.6 shots per Premier League appearance this season. He certainly seems like an all-action, box-to-box player who would be useful to either the Gunners or the Reds.
