Calvin Ramsay finally is a Liverpool player, as several of his former teammates have reacted on Instagram to his move from Aberdeen.
Liverpool announced on Sunday that Ramsay has signed a five-year contract with the English Premier League giants, with Sky Sports reporting the deal is worth £6.5 million.
When Ramsay posted on Instagram about leaving Aberdeen for Liverpool, he received a number of well-wishes from his now-ex teammates – Anfield legend, Kenny Dalglish, also backed him to do the business.
Welsh winger, Ryan Hedges told him ‘Fantastic mate. Congratulations and go smash it’, whilst Lewis Ferguson added, ‘All the best young man’.
Aberdeen’s very own official account even posted a classy message by saying: ‘Once a Don, always a Don. Good luck Calvin’.
HOW WILL KLOPP USE RAMSAY NEXT SEASON?
A lot of that will depend on how the 18-year-old settles into life on Merseyside and how he takes to Premier League football.
The good thing for the attack-minded fullback is that he is joining a team that is very settled and has had a history of winning trophies of late.
Plus, with the likes of Jurgen Klopp on board, they have shown that they can transform and help many players settle in, regardless of where they have come from.
Of course, Trent Alexander-Arnold is the main guy at the club and there is no better player for Ramsay to learn off than the Englishman.
Alexander-Arnold is one of the best, if not, the best fullback in the world and if Ramsay can follow in his footsteps, then he has a very long career ahead of him.
