Angel Rangel has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Luke Amos leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Queens Park Rangers on a permanent contract.
Amos spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at QPR in the Championship from Premier League outfit Tottenham.
As announced on Rangers’ official website, they have signed the midfielder on a permanent contract.
Rangel played with Amos at QPR last season, and the 37-year-old right-back is pleased to see the 23-year-old midfielder return to Mark Warburton’s side.
Interestingly, the Spaniard is a free agent at the moment, having recently left QPR, although he will be assisted by the London club through his rehabilitation after sustaining an injury towards the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Good move for Luke Amos?
Amos did well at QPR last season, as the 23-year-old midfielder made 26 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Championship for Warburton’s side, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
The English youngster was not going to do much of note at Spurs and was going to struggle to even get into Jose Mourinho’s squad.
QPR are an ambitious club, and having done well for Rangers last season, it made sense for Amos to switch to Warburton’s side on a permanent contract.
