Tottenham Hotspur continue to target a deal for Edmond Tapsoba and his representatives have been in London for talks.
The representatives of Edmond Tapsoba have been in London to discuss personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to reporter Sacha Tavolieri, who claims that the meeting was ‘constructive’ as Tottenham attempt to thrash out a deal.
Tavolieri claims that talks are progressing ‘significantly’ and that a potential salary at Tottenham has already been discussed.
Tottenham may still face problems though as Leverkusen are allegedly seeking a fee of around €50million (£43million).
That’s a lot more than the €30million (£26million) Tottenham are ready to offer, meaning Spurs will have to ramp up their offers.

Tottenham see Edmond Tapsoba as top target
Tavolieri’s claims come after Fabrizio Romano commented on Tottenham’s pursuit of Tapsoba earlier today.
Romano claims that Tottenham have yet to make a bid for Tapsoba but consider him to be their ‘top target’ at centre back.
It’s stated that talks for Tapsoba will continue this week in the hope of securing a deal with Leverkusen.
Romano adds that Tottenham will also continue talks for another Bundesliga defender with Wolfsburg ace Micky van de Ven wanted.
Tapsoba – hailed as a ‘fantastic’ player by Leverkusen director Simon Rolfes – is the better player right now but Van de Ven is left-footed and has big potential.
Signing both would be great but is maybe unrealistic for Spurs right now, meaning they may face a tough decision.

Tottenham could spark defensive overhaul this summer
Tottenham are moving from a 3-4-3 under Antonio Conte to a 4-3-3 under new boss Ange Postecoglou.
That means a defensive reshuffle and we are expecting to see the likes of Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga move on.
Neither will be vital players moving forward and may chase first-team minutes elsewhere.
Clement Lenglet’s loan spell from Barcelona is over and it’s hard to see Ben Davies featuring as a centre back in a four-man defence.
Signing a homegrown defender like Tosin Adarabioyo and then splashing out on Tapsoba or Van de Ven certainly make sense, adding pace to the Spurs defence as Postecoglou prepares to bring his high line to North London.
