According to Cadena COPE, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in loaning Alvaro Morata this month.

Spurs could certainly do with a new striker through the door. Harry Kane hasn’t been at his best this season, and Spurs don’t have much depth in that area.

Morata would fill that role nicely, and this link is even more interesting when you consider the relationship that Morata has with Conte.

Conte was, of course, the Spaniard’s manager during his time at Chelsea, and while things didn’t quite go to plan for Morata at Stamford Bridge, Conte was a big fan of his.

What’s Conte said about Morata?

The Italian was full of praise for the striker back in 2017.

“I like Alvaro because he is a complete player and also has a lot of room to improve,” Conte said.

“He’s very committed and his behaviour is fantastic. He is a very polite player — I like this — and I like his finishing.

“Morata feels the goal in every moment — he’s very good at understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going.”

Reunion

Conte is clearly a fan of Morata, and perhaps a reunion is just what both parties need.

Fabio Paratici knows Morata well too, having signed him for Juventus, and the Spaniard could really do with a move at this point.

Indeed, Morata is set to fall down the pecking order at Juventus after the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic, while there’s seemingly no room for him at Atletico Madrid either.

A move to Spurs to reunite with Conte would make a lot of sense at this point.
