PSV winger Johan Bakayoko has opened up on his future at PSV Eindhoven amid reported interest from Liverpool.
Liverpool have yet to make a senior signing this summer with HITC reporting that a new defender and a new forward are the targets for the club this summer.
Arne Slot is set to be in for an important summer for Liverpool with the club looking to rebuild following Jurgen Klopp’s decision to end his tenure as manager of the Reds.
A new winger could well be a key target for Liverpool this summer and PSV winger Johan Bakayoko, who excelled last season, has opened up on his future.

Bakayoko opens up on PSV future amid links to Liverpool
PSV director Earnest Stewart opened the door for Liverpool to sign Bakayoko earlier this year and the Belgian has opened up on his future.
“I am ready for the top,” he told Eindhovens Dagblad. “It is also possible that I will leave next year, but I still have to discuss it carefully with my agent. It will also partly depend on PSV, where I will play next season.
“I can handle a place at the top. If I were to leave Eindhoven, it would only be to a club that plays for trophies, just like PSV. Becoming champion is what I want. And win the Champions League. I have the qualities for that.
“PSV is also a top club, especially if many players from last season stay. And it’s nice here. Yes, really. Nice. I don’t think I’ve ever felt reluctant to play here.
“The holiday was shortly after the European Championship, but it is great to be back at PSV. The vibe from last season is still there.”
Bakayoko could be a good option for Liverpool
The future of Luis Diaz is uncertain with the Colombian winger being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer.
If he did depart, a new winger would be needed and Bakayoko would be a more than suitable option for the Reds to look at.
Last season for PSV, Bakayoko scored 12 goals in the Eredivisie and provided nine assists in the Dutch league.
He was hailed as ‘fantastic‘ for PSV against Arsenal in the Champions League last season and he could be a brilliant option for Liverpool, if they choose to pursue a deal.
