Clinton Morrison has praised Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson on BBC Radio 5 Live for his goal in the first half against Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United at the City Ground in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The former Crystal Palace forward was hugely impressed by the goal that Johnson score for Nottingham Forest in a big relegation clash against Leeds in front of their own fans.
The 21-year-old Wales international forward found the back of the net in the 14th minute.
Hosts Forest won a free kick wide on their right.
Morgan Gibbs-White floated a dangerous ball.
Pascal Struijk could only partially clear it.
Struijk’s attempted clearing header bounced into the turf and floated up in the air.
Forest forward Johnson connected with it with his right foot and found the bottom corner.
It was a brilliant goal, and Morrison was impressed.
Praise for Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson v Leeds United
Morrison said: “The finish from Brennan Johnson is brilliant. This is a young man in form.
“The technique to control that and volley that into the bottom corner, fantastic.”

Impressive
In our view, Brennan Johnson’s goal for Nottingham Forest against Leeds United at the City Ground in the Premier League game on Sunday afternoon was very impressive.
The forward has been playing well for the Reds in recent weeks, and it showed in his well-taken goal against Leeds.
Forest are very much among the clubs who are fighting for survival in the Premier League this season.
For Steve Cooper’s side to escape the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the campaign, Johnson will have to stay in top form.
Like he is now.
