Arsenal are interested in signing Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu but Liverpool should think about joining the race for his services.

The Gunners have now lost three games in a row in all competitions and fans are looking for new signings this month.

HITC Football understands that Arsenal are showing an interest in signing Fenerbahce talent Ferdi Kadioglu.

Arsenal may be in the market for another full back and Kadioglu’s ability to play on either flank makes him very appealing.

The Turkish international has been shining with Fenerbahce and is bound to have other Premier League suitors – and we think Liverpool should be one of them.

Liverpool should Arsenal in join Ferdi Kadioglu chase

Liverpool are suffering a number of injuries in their back line right now.

Left backs Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas are out of action, as is centre back Joel Matip.

That means Joe Gomez is having to serve as cover at right back, centre back and left back, with more depth potentially on the radar.

Conor Bradley impressed in a cameo against Arsenal on Sunday but Liverpool may be tempted to add a full back who can play at left back and right back, especially with Trent Alexander-Arnold stepping into a midfield role at times.

Kadioglu fits that bill perfectly whilst also being able to play as a winger and even in midfield, possessing incredible versatility to play all over the pitch.

Kadioglu – hailed as a ‘fantastic player’ by Spartak Trnava boss Michal Gasparik – also has a connection to Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s assistant Pepijn Lijnders actually managed Kadioglu during his emergence at NEC Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

Kadioglu played 21 times under Lijnders, bagging four goals and four assists before being snapped up by Fenerbahce.

The Telegraph noted last season that Lijnders has been having an increasing influence on Liverpool’s recruitment in recent times.

Liverpool shopped in Portugal for Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez amid Lijnders’ history at Porto, as well as signing Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven in Lijnders’ native Netherlands.

Lijnders is surely keeping an eye on Kadioglu having managed him in the Netherlands and Liverpool’s full back issues may just make the Fenerbahce ace an appealing target.

Arsenal are the clear favourites here but if Liverpool come calling, Kadioglu may be tempted to reunite with Lijnders and offer major versatility to Klopp’s side.
