Stephen Warnock told Sky Sports News (09/08/21 at 10:50 am) that Harry Wilson is an ‘incredible’ player after his ‘long saga’ involving Liverpool.
The 24-year-old left Anfield this summer after Liverpool’s transfer guru Michael Edwards managed to secure £12 million for his services from Fulham (Sky Sports).
Life started in a near-perfect fashion for Wilson at Fulham because he scored a quite brilliant goal on debut when the London side recorded a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough over the weekend.
Warnock spoke about Wilson’s qualities and how he had been ‘tipped to leave’ Liverpool for many years before his departure.
“Big money signing,” said Warnock. “It will be a little weight off his shoulders (scoring on debut) to get off to a great start.
“It’s been a long saga with Harry Wilson leaving Liverpool. But he’s been tipped to leave during the past few years.
“He has had loan moves. An incredible player and he has fantastic ability.”

Wilson has proven over the years, especially at Derby, that he can do the business in England’s second tier.
But he is proving to be one of those players unable to transcend those performances into the Premier League.
He struggled during his loan spell at Bournemouth during their relegation campaign but he will be hoping for another shot with Fulham.
The Cottagers have ex-Everton boss Marco Silva in charge and nothing but promotion will be expected this season.
