West Ham United have been heavily linked with a move for free agent Yaya Toure.

West Ham are in talks to sign Yaya Toure on a free transfer after he left Manchester City, according to the likes of The Daily Mail.
Reports claim the 35-year-old free agent could be set for a switch to reunited with old Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham.
Pellegrini has been linked with a host of players after co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold pledged to back the new Hammers boss with unprecedented funds, as reported by the likes of talkSPORT.

But as proved by West Ham’s signings of the likes of Patrice Evra, Pablo Zabaleta, Alvaro Arbeloa and now Ryan Fredericks in recent windows, the owners love a freebie.
While most Premier League managers will be looking to the World Cup to scout potential new signings ahead of what promises to be another fiercely competitive campaign, supporters on Twitter have suggested West Ham were more likely looking at Socceraid – the charity football match which pairs ex-pros with celebrities in an England vs World XI exhibition match.
Toure played alongside the likes of Usain Bolt for the World XI against an England team containing David Seaman, Darren Bent and singer Olly Murs.
And Twitter wasn’t kind in assessing the West Ham-linked star’s performance.
He was roundly savaged with one fan describing his performance as ‘bizarre’ and others stating they would rather see the Hammers sign Bolt or Murs.
Here’s a selection of some of the tweets on Toure’s performance.
