The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup has been made and the standout tie sees Chelsea face Manchester United, but it could have been so much different were it not for one particular shock in round four.

On Saturday night, League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon put Premier League West Ham United to the sword at Kingsmeadow and claimed a superb 4-2 victory over Manuel Pellegrini’s charges, a result which the Hammers manager admitted made him “ashamed” of his players (BBC Sport).

Fast forward to Monday night and who did West Ham’s conquerors get drawn against? None other than Millwall, the Hammers’ bitter rivals and one half of what has always been one of England’s fiercest derbies.

The Lions reached the last 16 of the competition thanks to a 3-2 win over Premier League side Everton, Murray Wallace’s 94th-minute goal sending The Den into raptures and the team into the next stage.

Following the draw, Twitter was abuzz with comments about the fixture, with some fans wondering what might have been had West Ham not completely blown it against Wimbledon:
