Josh Hokit was back at it with a mic in hand on stage in Miami, catching a bit of attention along the way.
The undefeated heavyweight prospect showed up as part of Thursday’s UFC 327 press conference, where he spoke about his journey to this point and the challenges that come with stepping into the Octagon at this level.
It’ll be the biggest fight of Hokit’s career so far. He faces former interim title challenger Curtis Blaydes on Saturday’s main card, setting the tone before Jiri Prochazka takes on Carlos Ulberg for the light heavyweight championship.
‘The Incredible Hok’ made some noise during media day earlier in fight week, and he kept that going at the press conference.
Blaydes unimpressed by Hokit’s Efforts to hype UFC 327

Hokit had a run-in with Prochazka on Wednesday and later tried to get under Ulberg’s skin as well. It was the kind of behaviour that’s become familiar, especially since Hokit started modelling himself after outspoken fighters like Colby Covington and Chael Sonnen following his Dana White’s Contender Series contract in 2025.
“I will never understand how Dan Hooker can like another man when you can come to the sand and see a nice booty with a nice tan,” Hokit said on stage before turning his attention to Blaydes.
“Curtis doesn’t use his head. And judging by his bottom lip, his tongue is probably dead.”
Blaydes didn’t look impressed, nor did many others in the room. The boos were already ringing out when he responded.
Josh Hokit’s UFC 327 press conference behaviour doesn’t go down well with fans
Ever since his debut, opinions have been split on Hokit’s approach, but after this week in Miami, the reaction online has been overwhelmingly negative.
There’s been a lot of fans who are describing the heavyweight as ‘cringey’.
“This guy is the perfect representation of the current state of the UFC.”
“This guy is so cringe.”
“Bro is not him.”
“Is Josh Hokit the cringiest fighter in the history of the sport?”
A lot of those comments have come with support for Blaydes heading into their fight. Fans seem eager to see him get it done inside the Octagon.
“Please come through for us Blaydes.”
“Blaydes, let’s get this, come on.”
“Curtis, carry out your mission.”
“Blaydes, please sleep this dude.”
