Manager Graeme Murty has brought in Russell Martin, Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy and Jason Cummings to boost his squad this month, and will be hoping to keep hold of Windass.
Windass, 24, has hit six goals in 24 games for Rangers this season, thriving since Pedro Caixinha’s sacking, and his form has attracted major interest.
The Daily Record report that Preston North End have had a £500,000 bid for Windass rejected, whilst it’s even noted that Leeds United have joined the race for his signature.
Clubs are seemingly wanting to take former Accrington ace back to English football, but Rangers are justifiably standing firm and looking to keep Windass at Ibrox.
The links to Leeds emerged on Wednesday, and one set of fans who were far from impressed were those of Hull City, given Windass’ father Dean was a hero at the KCOM Stadium.

Fans of Hull and Leeds are never going to see eye to eye, and some Hull fans took to Twitter to message hometown hero Dean Windass in an attempt to convince him to dissuade his son from signing for Leeds.
Windass senior responded by suggesting that he doesn’t have anything to do with his son’s decisions, before claiming that the playmaker will be staying at Rangers anyway, rather than signing for Leeds.
